The Walker Mk2002 Magnetic Compass Outfit by John Lilley & Gillie is perfect for commercial vessels under 150GRT and workboats up to 35 meters. It works seamlessly with the Lilley & Gillie Transmitting Magnetic Compass (TMC) system. This system supports repeaters, off-course alarms, and gyro backup. The compass is type-approved by maritime authorities, including the European Marine Equipment Directive (MED).
The compass features a modular design, making it easy to adjust to various vessel sizes. It also includes energy-efficient LED 24vDC lighting, which reduces power consumption. The compact size and lightweight design make it ideal for smaller vessels.
This compass meets IMO Resolution A.382 and ISO 25862 standards. It provides the necessary correction facilities for quadrantal, flinders, and B & C corrections, ensuring safe and accurate navigation.
John Lilley & Gillie also offer the Mk2002S, a reduced-height binnacle that is only 577mm tall. This design makes installation easier and lighter. The reinforced glass fibre construction provides strength without the extra weight.
The Mk2002 is compatible with the GS820 TMC system. This system allows users to monitor the compass via repeaters or send NMEA digital signals to autopilots and other navigation equipment.
