Seanav Marine performs statutory annual inspection, recharging, and hydrostatic pressure testing for marine portable and wheeled fire extinguishers (Dry Powder, CO2, Foam, Water) at all Indian ports.   1. Physical Inspection & Pressure Gauge Calibration

    Inspect cylinder bodies for exterior corrosion, dents, or damaged horns; verify pressure gauge reading is inside green operable zone.

  2. Gross Weight Check & Internal Gas Cartridge Inspection

    Weigh CO2 extinguishers on calibrated scales to verify <10% weight loss; inspect internal propellant gas cartridges.

  3. Discharge Hose & Nozzle Obstruction Clearance

    Blow dry air through discharge hoses, nozzles, and shut-off handles to eliminate obstructions and verify gasket elasticity.

  4. Periodic Hydrostatic Pressure Proof Testing

    Subject cylinders due for hydraulic test to 1.5x test pressure in approved hydrostatic test chamber with expansion measurement.

  5. Service Tagging, Tamper Pin Sealing & Certificate Delivery

    Affix durable weather-resistant inspection label, seal safety pin with tamper-evident plastic seal, and issue Class certificate.
