Denial of Service (DoS) attacks target the availability of satellite networks by overwhelming them with traffic, rendering them inaccessible to legitimate users. VSAT systems are vulnerable to these attacks, which can disrupt communication services. To mitigate the risk, VSAT operators deploy robust security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and traffic filtering. Ensuring network redundancy and resilience is also key to minimizing the impact of a DoS attack on satellite services.
